Haiti - 2023 World Qualifiers : Our Grenadières humiliate Honduras [6-0] (Video)

As part of the first qualifying round of the Confederation of North America, Central America and Caribbean Women's Championship (CONCACAF - 2022), a very important competition for women's football in the area, as it serves between others, qualifiers for three major international events: the Australia & New Zealand World Cup 2023, the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics and the 1st edition of the women's version of the Gold Cup in 2024, our Grenadières made an entrance shattering.

Thursday, February 17, 2022, on the lawn of the Felix Sanchez stadium in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, our Grenadières humiliated Honduras by winning a crushing victory [6-0] without much effort against a modest Honduran team.

In the first period, our Grenadières were very offensive Chelsea Ariane Surpris (#2), opened the scoring for Haiti [1-0] in the 15th minute.

5 minutes later Ketna Louis (#20) doubled the score [2-0].

Batcheba Louis (#7) the top scorer of the Grenadières (19 goals scored in 15 games) sank the score from the penalty spot [3-0] in the 33rd minute.

3 minutes from the end of the first period Roselord Borgella (#22) knocks out the Hondurans with a 4th goal [4-0] on an assist from Nérilia Mondésir (#10) in the 42' minute.

Back from the locker room, our Grenadières multiplied the attacks, Batcheba Louis scored twice at 50' [5-0] and Sherly Jeudy (#9) finished the Hondurans with a 6th and last goal of this match at 56' minutes of game [6-0] final score.

French coach Nicolas Delépine recorded his first success as our Grenadières took the lead in Group E ahead of Cuba, victorious over Saint-Vincent [3-0]. Note that Nicolas Delépine made several changes during this match:

Sherly Jeudy ($9) was replaced at 60' by Roseline Eloissaint (#11)

Nérilia Mondésir (#10) was replaced at 78' by Noa Oliver Ganthier (#19)

Batcheba Louis (#7) was replaced at 84' by Donia Salomon (#17)

Roselord Borgella (#22) was replaced at 84' by Lauryn Oliver (#14)

Next match on February 20 or Haiti will face St Vincent and the Grenadines in Santiago de Cuba.
